October Retreat Cancelled Due to COVID-19

[CREDIT: WWWRI] The COVID-19 pandemic has rendered The Women’s Wilderness Weekend October retreat cancelled.

“At this time we have canceled all spring bookings due to COVID 19 and we have temporarily stopped taking new bookings until we know more,” the ECC wrote. 

Thankfully, that saves the board from making the tough decision about the status of the weekend. 

We’ve been discussing the October weekend since the April weekend was cancelled and have been watching the reopening plans and steps that would need to be taken to ensure everyone’s safety.  Due to the shared sleeping rooms and the close dining area, it would have been quite difficult to keep everyone socially distant and safe, so even though we’re sad that the retreat is cancelled, we know it’s for the best.

We’re planning a couple of socially distant day events.  A kayak trip is coming up in August and a hike, labyrinth walk, and craft day is coming in September.  Stay tuned for details.

Our April 30-May 2, 2021 weekend is still on so mark you calendars!
